Early Bird tickets are now on sale for Dance Victoria’s special presentation of Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Nutcracker accompanied by the Victoria Symphony at the Royal Theatre from November 29 through December 1, 2024.
Back by popular demand, Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Nutcracker showcases the talents of Canada’s top prima ballerinas and dancers. Featuring a hockey game, Mounties, polar bears, reindeer, and a battle on Parliament Hill, Royal Winnipeg Ballet brings the wintertime classic we all love — with a Canadian twist! What makes the performance especially magical is the involvement of local children performing as polar bears, angels, partygoers and more. A delight for the whole family!
This Royal Winnipeg Ballet production continues to be Dance Victoria’s largest-scale presentation. In addition to RWB’s 27 company dancers, Nutcracker engages 45 members of the Victoria Symphony; 75 children from local dance schools in the Nutcracker Ensemble; and 35 backstage crew for each performance.
