Ballet BC’s Romeo + Juliet Performances Cancelled at the Royal Theatre Following Government of BC Directive Regarding COVID-19 Pandemic

VICTORIA, B.C. – Dance Victoria regrets to inform the public that its performances for Ballet BC’s Romeo + Juliet on March 13 and 14, 2020 at the Royal Theatre are cancelled in compliance with the Government of British Columbia’s COVID-19 directive. This afternoon the BC Government announced a ban on gatherings of more than 250 people due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The free masterclass on March 14 at Maple Leaf School of Russian Ballet is also cancelled.

Dance Victoria needs time to assess the impacts of these performance cancellations. We value all of our patrons and we will communicate personally with each ticket buyer during the week of March 16 to March 20, 2020. There is no need to contact the Royal Theatre and McPherson Playhouse Box Office in the interim.

We thank you for your patience and support during this time.
