Kayla Henry is a mother, performer, creator, and teacher based on the traditional and unceded territory of the Lekwungen People, now known as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations.

Kayla is the founder and Artistic Director of Noble Riot Dance Theatre (2021). Kayla has been choreographing since she was 8 years old, professionally since 2013. Her works have so far been presented by Constance Cooke Dance (Victoria), Dance Victoria (Victoria), Good Women Dance Collective (Edmonton), Impulse Theatre (Victoria), and Springboard Performance (Calgary). Kayla received Dance Victoria’s Chrystal Dance Prize (2022) and has had her creative processes supported through grants, sponsorships, residencies, and mentorships.

Kayla has performed in hundreds of professional works across Canada, the USA, and Europe. Choreographers include Christina Medina (Austria), Rachel Browne (Winnipeg), Sasha Ivanochko (Toronto), Paras Terezakis (Vancouver), and Menaka Thakkar (Toronto), to name a few.
