Community Dance Discussion (Livestreamed)
January 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Attend this FREE Dance Days community discussion online via Zoom.
Join us for a lively discussion with Indigenous artist Troy Emery Twigg (Kainai Nation, Southern Alberta). Troy has worked for three decades as an artist in movement, choreography, and staging, mostly creating his own works which have been presented nationally and internationally: Iitahpoyii; They Shoot Buffalo, Don’t They?; Dancing the Universe in Flux; Pulse; and Static. Troy was one of the original visionaries and founding artists of the ground-breaking Making Treaty 7 theatrical event. He was Dance Victoria’s guest in January 2018 when he co-presented By Invitation Only: Dance, Confederation and Reconciliation with dance historian/archivist Amy Bowring. We are honoured to have Troy back in Victoria, albeit virtually, in 2022.
