Somatic Movement Breaks

Somatic Movement Breaks offer guided movement practices that incorporate somatic movement with elements of improvisational dance and fitness to develop body awareness and explore different ways of moving. These classes support the deepening of embodiment and can help to increase mobility, revitalize energy, release stress and tension and reset the nervous system.
Open to all adults. All bodies and abilities are welcome. No previous experience is needed. Adaptations and options for moving with ease and comfort are offered throughout class.
About the Facilitator: Melissa Flagg is an experienced dance and movement facilitator, and is currently completing her training as a Certified Teacher of Body Mind Dancing, developed by Dr. Martha Eddy. She draws from a background in contemporary dance and yoga as well as studies in Dynamic Embodiment™ Somatic Movement Therapy and Dance/Movement Therapy.
