Artist Programs & Studio Manager
Kiera is responsible for communicating with studio renters, facility upkeep, and other administrative tasks. Before joining Dance Victoria, Kiera divided her time between Victoria, Toronto, and Israel. As a project-based freelancer, she wears many hats including: dancer, choreographer, teacher, stage manager, and lighting designer. Through her work, she has learned that co-creating fuels creativity: “Collaboration can create experiences that go far beyond our individual imagination.”
Kiera is passionate about all the ways the human body can celebrate the joy of moving. In her leisure time, she enjoys adventuring and exploring outside while hiking, walking, and cycling. When indoors, she loves experimenting with new recipes, playing board games, and dancing in the kitchen.
She was forever changed when she first saw Echad Mi Yodea by Ohad Naharin and Batsheva Dance Company: “I’m continually fascinated by their movement language, gaga, and the visceral kinetic power of their dancers.”
