Ballet West has toured the world several times over presenting the very best in American classical ballet. Sweet and Bitter by Africa Guzmán (Spain) uses Ezio Bosso’s score as a source of inspiration “to find strength and sensitivity and transform the most classic lines to play with the limits of gravity.” Also on the program, you will be treated to the two famous duets from Swan Lake (the Black Swan and White Swan pas de deux) as reimagined by the company’s Artistic Director Adam SkluteNicolo Fonte’s Fox on the Doorstep is an abstract narrative recounting Fonte’s encounter with a white fox sitting on his doorstep, seemingly divining his elderly father’s passing only a few hours later.

… undoubtedly the future for professional ballet, both classical and contemporary.
