After Compagnie Hervé KOUBI‘s What the day owes to the night virtual performance last season, we knew we had to find a way to bring this incredible multiethnic, multitalented company to Victoria! Thirteen street dancers from Algeria, Morocco, France and Burkina Faso perform the sequel, The Barbarian Nights. With their breathtaking energy, wearing headgear inspired by Swarovski, the dancers evoke the humanity of the early ‘barbarians’ of the Mediterranean basin, whirling dark skirts and moving with stunning fluidity against a musical backdrop of Mozart, Fauré and traditional Algerian melodies.

A touch of theatrical magic!
