The Cherish Organizing Committee, Kari McLay, Kirsty Thomson, and Lynda Raino, are among three finalists for the 2019 Outstanding Philanthropic Community Award.

Kari, Kirsty and Lynda are well-known in the Victoria business and cultural community and are key members of the Cherish fundraising event, benefitting the Victoria Women’s Transition House and Dance Victoria. Brought together by a shared interest in supporting the arts and an organization committed to keeping women and children safe, the three have been instrumental in producing a sold-out celebration that combines the beauty of dance with the latest in stylish fashions. Over the past two years, Kari, Kirsty and Lynda, with help from the 10+ Cherish Committee members, have raised in excess of $120,000, split between the two charity beneficiaries, who are eternally grateful for their support.

Our community is so lucky to have these three women in it! The Outstanding Philanthropic Community award is sponsored by Camosun College!
