2023/24 Artist in Residence
Cora Kozaris is a Toronto-born dance artist and choreographer. Cora’s artistic practice uses movement to illuminate universal human experiences. She uses dance as the tool to investigate subjects like trauma and loss and how the body reacts in its attempts to reconcile. Her versatility and unique identifiable style saw her named one of the top choreographers making waves by Narcity Toronto. Her involvement in the arts community spans several years and roles. Carné I and Carné II, her full-length live shows,received accolades nationally, and prompted a feature on CBC entitled “Heartbreak to Art.” Cora is thrilled to participate in the Dance Victoria residency program for the creation process of her latest short film.
