Ballet Hispánico is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with the biggest production in its history! Doña Perón celebrates one of the most spellbinding women in South American history. The ballet traces episodes in Eva “Evita” Perón’s life that capture the essence of her strength, struggle, and emergence as a leader, change agent and enshrined popular icon. With choreography by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and music by Peter Salem that hints at notes of tango, Doña Perón represents one of the most extraordinary contemporary collaborations in ballet.

Ms. Lopez Ochoa creates rigorous works of great beauty and intensity in hybrid contemporary and classical ballet vocabularies that enable dancers to truly realize themselves.
