Dance Victoria brings world-class companies to our city's stages, champions B.C. artists through residencies and awards, and offers programs that strive to make dance accessible to everyone. We’re a registered charity. Ticket revenue covers only a portion of our operating expenses. Dance Victoria’s continued success and impact depend on individuals like you!
Donations of all levels make a difference.
Every donation, of every amount, helps Dance Victoria bring transformative dance experiences to our community.
The international companies we bring to the Royal Theatre and McPherson Playhouse represent the best of contemporary dance. Touring costs are significant — artist fees, travel, accommodation, production, and venue. Donations keep ticket prices within reach.
Over 1,000 hours of professional studio time go to Victoria-area artists each year — alongside direct funding through the Chrystal Dance Prize, mentorship through residencies, and performance opportunities through Rough Cuts. Donors make it possible for local artists to develop new work here.
Nutcracker Kids, Pay Your Age, and Dance Is For Everyone — programs that ensure everyone in our community can experience world-class dance. All exist thanks to the generosity of our supporters.
Support free masterclasses and workshops, Share Dance, and other programs that meaningfully connect our community with professional dance artists.
All donations $10 or greater receive:
