Created by co-Artistic Directors Tiffany Tregarthen and David Raymond, Rhino features an unlikely constellation of characters past their heyday, questioning whether their best days are behind them. The work balances comedy and tragedy while exploring transformation, ritual, humour, and what is essential to endure time and threatened extinction. Out Innerspace is celebrated internationally for its signature blend of theatricality, humour, and innovative production design. In Rhino, these elements come together through a cinematic lens, creating a dreamlike, surreal, and immersive experience with the arthouse edge that defines the company’s work. Rhino is a co-production of The CanDance Network Creation Fund, Agora de la danse, Dance Victoria, National Arts Centre, and La Rotunde.
